Joyce Omondi

Program Coordinator – Joyce brings extensive experience in global health, humanitarian work, and clinical practice to Prairie Hospice Society. Her career spans Canada, the UK, and Kenya, with a focus on healthcare systems, patient-centered care, and improving access to essential health services. Joyce holds a Master’s in Global Health Policy from the University of London, UK, and has expertise in program development, evaluation, and culturally sensitive care.

Her connection to end-of-life care stems from personal and professional experiences in oncology, critical care, and palliative care. “I am inspired to support Prairie Hospice’s mission of providing dignity and comfort during life’s most vulnerable moments.”

Joyce has worked with WHO and coordinated healthcare in refugee camps, where she led teams and implemented impactful programs. She now focuses on making a meaningful local impact through Prairie Hospice.

Outside of work, Joyce enjoys spending time in nature, creating holiday crafts, and exploring diverse cultures with her pre-teen child.
