Kristi joined Prairie Hospice Society as part-time Executive Director following her retirement from a 28-year career as a Registered Nurse. Throughout her nursing career, Kristi worked in a variety of roles—from bedside care in multiple departments, including the Palliative Care Unit, to leadership positions in education and management. While she gained valuable experience across the health system, it was in palliative care that she felt a deeper calling.
In 2017, Kristi began volunteering with Prairie Hospice as a client companion, where her commitment to quality end-of-life care and the impact of community-based support became even more meaningful. Motivated by a desire to contribute more fully to this important work, she transitioned from nursing to the non-profit sector to continue supporting clients, families, and the dedicated volunteer team at Prairie Hospice.
Kristi lives in Saskatoon with her husband and is proud to have both of her daughters and their families nearby. She finds great joy in spending time with her three grandchildren and cherishes the strong family connections that surround her. Outside of work, she and her husband enjoy traveling and discovering new experiences together.
