Leah Deans

Administrative Support – Leah joins Prairie Hospice Society after a 20 year career as Resource Director for a non-profit organization and has worked with seniors in Assisted Living. Her work has mainly been in supporting, advocating for, and educating families with a deep interest in mental health and well-being. Having journeyed with two close family members through palliative care, parenting a critically ill child who is a cancer survivor as well as being a cancer survivor herself, Leah feels strongly about the valuable model of practice and care that PHS provides to individuals and families. Being a part of an organization that makes a difference is what motivates Leah.  Having competed her certificate through Leadership Saskatoon, Leah is looking forward to being a team member. Outside of work hours, Leah can be found mostly outdoors – seasonally in her garden, camping and fishing with her husband, cooking, spending time with her two adult daughters and with family.
