Patricia Roe

Patricia brings over 40 years of experience in health care, with a focus on home and long-term care. She dedicated much of her career to Sherbrooke Community Centre, an internationally recognized organization, where she led Communications, Fund Development, and Special Programs. In this role, she developed innovative programs for long-term care, including the iGen Grade 6 classroom, now in its 11th year, and the Open Art Studio, celebrating 20 years.

Beyond health care, Patricia has a strong background in community leadership. She served three terms as a city councillor, chaired the YWCA, and was a board member of the Meewasin Valley Authority and the Mendel Art Gallery. She currently serves on the board of the Eden Alternative, an organization committed to combating loneliness, helplessness, and boredom among elders. Eden promotes purpose, connection, and empowerment for individuals of all ages and abilities. Patricia has also contributed to the University of Saskatchewan’s Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) as a past chair and member of the Community Liaison Committee.

Patricia is excited to bring her expertise in fund and program development to Prairie Hospice. She is passionate about advocating for compassionate, community-based care and supporting the organization’s mission.

Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Patricia enjoys time with her husband, William Roe, as well as her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters, is a member of a wine club and she  cherishes her lifelong friendships.
